Tiny Tiny RSS - After a Month
In April I set up a private Tiny Tiny RSS instance to manage all my feeds over all my devices.
The amount feeds that I’m gathering with Tiny Tiny RSS increased dramatically. I started to follow several new blogs about technology as well as cooking and baking. But the greatest factor was YouTube. After reading an article by Daniel Miessler I was able to get every YouTube channel via RSS feed.
Altogether this leaves me with about 202 feeds and about at least 350 to 500 fresh articles per day. Most of these fresh articles are from various news websites or Hacker News and Lobsters so not all of these articles are worth reading (to me) but it’s still a lot.
My feed reading habits also changed a little. I almost stopped reading every interesting article right on the spot and started filtering the articles into read now and read later.
How much time do I spend "keeping up" with my feeds? Well honestly I’m not sure. I would guess maybe one hour a day? I will have an eye on that from now on.
How to get a RSS feed for your YouTube channels
As I mentioned earlier in this post I came across a post by Daniel Miessler where he explained what to do. All you have to do is to visit the channel you want to subscribe to and copy the link into Tiny Tiny RSS [1].
